I try and focus on each band's performance style and capture it in the shots I take. PLEASURE DEATH has this strong stage presence that makes you lean in and listen, very RIOTGRRRL, very punk. BIG KISS is all energy and high octane. I almost got hit with a mic stand. It was awesome.

Punks old and new converged under the K Street Bridge to mosh to Iggy Pop, Jack White, Destroy Boys, and more. I wanted to focus on taking in the energy that comes from being in the pit. It's violent, but you always feel taken care of. Someone will always be there to help you up when you fall. If that's not a beautiful thing, I don't know what.
