Twin Social
Events
Twin Social hosts crafty events around the city. They have a very soft, organic direction, so I try and capture that with emphasis on image composition. They take great care to set/select decorations, so I focused on framing as many of the different elements at once. I also focus on the interaction of the guests with the activity. I do take guest photos, but due to the nature of Twin Social's instagram vision, I focus more on the art created/interaction with the elements provided.

CHINATOWN
Streets
SF Chinatown's architecture grew to integrate bits of Americana to ensure it's survival after the 1906 Earthquake. These design decisions are still visible if you know where to look.

Revision Drag 11/13
Drag Shows
Shots from my first time at Revision Drag! Used the FUJIFILM X100V for these - hence the softer vibe of these photos.

Revision Drag 01/21
Drag Shows
Revision is an open stage for drag performances. I truly love watching drag as for just a bit, you're invited into someone else's experience. Performances can be anything - irreverent, beautiful, moving. No matter what it is, the person on stage always gives it their all. My process with drag shows is to watch, feel the vibe the performer is going for, and try and catch those key poses.

Nobody Likes You When You're 23
Drag Shows
This special show was for Robyn's 23rd birthday. Each performer had a unique style and music choice that I tried to emulate in their framing/editing.

Rubulad
Concerts
Rubulad is a hidden venue in the heart of Brooklyn. An IYKYK kind of place. I try and focus on each band's performance style and capture it in the shots I take. PLEASURE DEATH has this strong stage presence that makes you lean in and listen - very RIOTGRRRL, very punk. BIG KISS is all energy and high octane. I almost got hit with a mic stand. It was awesome.

CBGB Festival
Concerts
Punks old and new converged under the K Street Bridge to mosh to Iggy Pop, Jack White, Destroy Boys, and more. I wanted to focus on taking in the energy that comes from being in the pit. It's violent, but you always feel taken care of. Someone will always be there to help you up when you fall. If that's not a beautiful thing, I don't know what.
